    • Newspaper Obituary - April 3, 1984 Syracuse Herald Journal - John J. Moose - Port Byron - Services for John Joseph Moose, who died Sunday at his home on Barnes Road, Port Byron, after a long illness will be private. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (April 3) at Audoun Funeral Home, Port Byron. Contributions may be made to the Port Byron Ambulance Fund. He was born in Findley, Ohio. He served in the Navy for six years, and was a World War I veteran. He had been a master electrician and an electrical contractor in Port Byron, Weedsport, and Auburn. He and his wife operated a small floral business until 1981. Surviving are his wife, Alice; a son, John Jay of Port Byron; three grandsons, Jay, John, and Robert and two great grandchildren.
