Novak, 78, of Phoenix, NY, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday. Born on January 16, 1936 to his mother, Virginia (Terramiggi) and his late father, Edward Novak in Fulton. A graduate of Fulton High School, and served in the US Army, 1954 to 1956. A master carpenter and owner/operator of Michael Novak & Sons Home Builders. Carpenter's Local Union 12, Oswego, and Local 747, Syracuse. Life member of VFW Post 5540, Phoenix; Phoenix Rod & Gun Club; an avid golfer. Predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen F. (Milligan) in 2008; a son, Charles A. Novak in 1981; a sister, Katherine A. Geswaldo in 1988; a brother, John E. Novak in 2014. Surviving are his three children, Michael J. "Micky" (Gretchen) Novak of Phoenix; twins, Mary Ann (David) Quintal of Pennellville, and Martin Novak of Phoenix; five grandchildren, Jessica Novak, Nicholas Novak, and Nathan Novak, Steven Quintal, Katrina Quintal; one great-granddaughter, Brooke Quintal; his mother, Virginia (Terrimiggi) Novak Albino of Syracuse; a brother-in-law, Louis Geswaldo of Syracuse; a sister-in-law, Gloria Novak of Liverpool; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends. Mike was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and loved his family very much. Services are on Thursday, December 11 at 10 a.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, with the Deacon Frank Forish officiating. Burial following in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
