Obituary:
Lydia B. Wood, 90, of Route 38, RD 2, Cato, New York died unexpectedly Monday morning, July 13, 1987 at the home of her daughter following a long illness.
Born in the Town of Conquest September 20, 1896 the daughter of Wyman A. and Flora M. Hutchins Moore and was a life resident of the Conquest, Cato & Victory area. She was employed many years at the Red Creek Canning Company and the former Barr Typewriter Company in Weedsport. She attended the Victory United Methodist Church and was the widow of Charles H. Wood, who died in 1960.
She is survived by; a daughter, Mrs. Flora Bell DeForest Stockman of Cato; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wood will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 1987 at the Jewell Funeral Home, South Street, Cato with the Rev. Phillip Bornheimer, Pastor of Victory United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal, New York.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Those wishing are asked to make contributions in memory of Mrs. Wood to the Victory Fire Department.
