    • Obituary:
Dwight Hodge, 96, a native of Perryville a large of whose part whose life was spent in Canastota died Monday at the home of his son Clarence Hodge, 530 Maple Ave., Herkimer.

Mr. Hodge in early life is recalled here as an employee of Patten and Stafford rake manufactures of that period. Following the retirement of that industry, Mr. Hodge entered the employ of Frank T. Benjamin, feed dealer, now retired.

Mr. Benjamin when informed on Monday of Hodge's death gave tribute to him as "the best man I ever had. He was so punctual that the neighbors along the route he traversed from his New Boston road home to the feed mill would set their watches or clocks by the minute he was accustomed to pass their homes if their timepieces had stopped."

Mr. Hodge left Canastota 17 years ago to live with the son. In early life he married Lovisa Vibbert who died several years ago. The body was brought to Canastota Wednesday for burial in the family plot in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
