- Newspaper Obituary - August 26, 2009 San Jose Mercury News - John Fred Kaspar 95 of San Jose, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 20, 2009. He was born November 24, 1913 in Goritzhain, Saxony, Germany. He received a degree in Chemistry and worked as a Chemist in the Pharmaceuticals Industry for 30 years where he was Production Manager for Barnes Hind and Morton Norwich. After retirement he owned and operated the Morgan Hill Car Wash for fifteen years. John enjoyed bowling at the Saratoga Bowling Alley and swimming at the Brookside Swim Club and the Rancho Santa Teresa Swim Club. He was an avid golfer and played at the Deep Cliff Golf Course, the Santa Teresa Golf Course, and the Ridgemark Golf Course. Survivors include his three sons, John Kaspar of Kent, NY, Erich (Lisa) Kaspar of Taylor, TX and Richard (Debbie) Kaspar of Carson City, NV as well as his daughter Lynn (Randy) Fall of Lodi, CA, grandchildren, Katharine Kaspar of New York, NY, Rhiannon Kaspar of Puyallup, WA, Jolene Kaspar of Carson City, NV and Melissa and Kyle Fall of Lodi, CA. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae (Russell) Kaspar in 2005. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 11:00 am at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Visitation will be also be held on Friday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home.
