Carley Theresa Fox, age 82, passed away peacefully, June 21, 2015, with her family at her side.
She was born March 6, 1933, in Rome, a daughter of the late Earl and Betty Jones Russell, and educated in Rome schools. Carley was united in marriage to Seymour Fox on July 3,1954; he died Aug 1995. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Taberg.
Carley was a true homemaker whose life revolved around her home and children. Her many hobbies included crocheting, bingo, and solving crossword puzzles. She also had a great deal of love for the wildlife that surrounded her home, especially the many birds.
Carley is survived by six daughters, Naomi and Tony Schipano of Taberg, Juanita and Frank Mendoza of Rome, Sherry Fox of Rome, Jeannette and Bart Yahoudy of Taberg, Sheila Fox and Joe Carrado of Rome, and Janine and Dale Davis of Rome; three sons, Joseph Fox and Nancy Novak of Westernville, Terry and Shirley Fox of Taberg, and Scott and Kelly Fox of Rome; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Mary, a sister, Jeannette, two brothers, Carl and Bruce Russell and a Grandaughter Shawnette Fox.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Lee State Road Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
