Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, March 25, 1980 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Rollo William Petrie, 72, of Brandon, Florida, formerly of Pulaski, died Monday at Lykes Memorial Hospital, Brooksville, Florida. Born June 2, 1907 at Redfield, he was the son of Donald and Mattie Ostrander Petrie. He attended area schools and was married February 11, 1958 to Edith Weed Schlag. He farmed in the Fernwood area and was later employed at Sheffield farms, Pulaski, and later at New York Air Brake in Watertown for 15 years. He last owned and operated a gas station at the foot of the Thousand Island Bridge. He spent his summers at Harrisville and winters at Brandon, Florida. He was a member of the Fernwood Baptist Church, Robert Edwards Post 358, American Legion, Pulaski; VFW of Carthage, and Senior Citizens of Harrisville. He is survived by his wife, Edith; three daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Betty) Paro of McGraw, Mrs. Frank (Ruthann) LaMartina of Rochester, and Mrs. Ronald (Luella) Well of New Martinsville, West Virginia; three sons, Donald S. Petrie of Spencer, Robert and John R. Petrie of Cortland; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Floyd (Froney) Fox of Watertown, several grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Reba Rigers of Sebring, Florida. Services will be at 11 am. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
