- Newspaper Obituary - March 10, 1999 Times Leader - March 1, 1999 - James E. Bryan, of Baltimore died March 1 at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore following a long illness. Born in Larksville, he son of the late Eugene and Alice (Carey) Bryan. He was a 1944 graduate of the former Larksville High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the USS Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel in the Baltimore area until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa; and brother, William. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Mary Lou Reese; daughters, Judith Bryan, Abingdon, Md.; and Sandra Meekins, Baltimore; two grandchildren; sister, Beth Ann Shebloski, Larksville; and nieces. There will be a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of St. Vincent de Paul in Plymouth, with the Rev. Joseph Houston officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul.
