- Wedding of Donald and Minnie: Donald Nemier, 21, of Richland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Nemier, and Miss Minnie Maria Mead, 16, of Lacona, daughter of Foster Mead, were married Sunday evening, September 5, 1937 by Justice of the Peace, Ray Lawton. They were attended by Harry Burdick of Altmar and Miss Alice Mead of Sandy Creek.

Obituary: Donald Nemier, 34, formerly of Lacona, ended his life with a bullet from a rifle at the home of his father, Clinton Nemier, Centerville, last Thursday afternoon, August 4, 1939. He was still alive when Dr. A.V. Thompson of Pulaski arrived, but died ten minutes later. According to the report of the Sheriff's department and District Attorney, James C. Feeney, Mr. Nemier placed the weapon overthe left eye, the discharge from the gun causing almost instant death. Mr. Nemier a carpenter by trade, had been employed as a section hand by the New York Central railroad more recently. He is survived by his father Clinton Nemier, his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Nemier, a ten year old daughter and his wife, Mrs. Minnie Nemier. Funeral services were held from the Foster funeral home in Pulaski at 2 P.M. Sunday afternoon. Burial was in Wesleyan Cemetery, Boylston.
