Newspaper Obituary - (date unavailable) 1953 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Fred N. North, 69, of Pulaski, brother of Mrs. Fred Jones and Mrs. Bert Minckler of Mexico, died of a sudden heart attack on September 10 while enroute home from State Fair with friends, Miss Hazel Woodruff and her brother, Robert Woodruff. A farmer, Mr. North had been in poor health for some time, but had been active until he was stricken. He was a member of Fernwood Grange. He had always resided in the vicinity of Daysville where he operated a large farm. Mr. North was born on December 5, 1883 in the town of Richland, a son of the late Rufus and Olivia Bunn North. He leaves to survive him, three sisters, Mrs. Addie Burns of Pulaski; Mrs. Fred Jones, Mexico; and Mrs. Bert Minckler of Mexico, R.D., and one brother, Lewis North, Pulaski R.D. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. James Pauley, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Willis cemetery. Bearers were NoLilian Minckler of Mexico, Nelson and Harold North, Ward and Carl Burns, all of Pulaski, R.D., nephews of Mr. North.
