- Boylston Native, 60, Dies in Washington
Lloyd J. Ridgeway, age 60, of 927 1/2 South Grant St., Tacoma, Washington, died Sunday morning, July 11, 1976 at Tacoma General Hospital after a short illness.
He was born June 15, 1916 in Boylston, the son of John and Anna M. Daly Ridgeway.
He was educated in Boylston schools, where he spent the early part of his life. He later moved to the Syracuse area and was employed as a roofer. He moved to the State of Washington in 1967.
Suvivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna M. Ridgeway, of Pulaski, three sons, David, Hugh and Michael Ridgeway, all of Syracuse, two daughters, Mrs. Carol Ramirez and Mrs
Joyce Monroe, both of Hastings, and six grandchildren. Also, five sisters: Mrs Wesley (Agnes) Tyfair, Cicero, Mrs. Nellie Giddlngs, Old Forge, Miss Clara Ridgeway Johnson City; Mrs. Victor (Maggie) Potish, Sandy Creek and Mrs. Winnie Harrington, Florida; and four brothers; Paul, Pulaski; Lyle, Syracuse; Aaron, Denver, Colorado and Lawrence, Toledo, Ohio. Two other brothers are deceased, John Ridgeway, Jr. having died in 1947 and S. Sgt. Warren E. Ridgeway died in action in World War H. Two uncles, Dennis Daly of Lacona, and Charles Pierce of Chittenango are also included among Mr. Ridgeway's survivors, as well as several nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm this afternoon (Wednesday) at the Wesleyan Cemetery, Smartville Road, Lacona with Rev Adelbert Edwards pastor of Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church officiating
