      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 30, 1889 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Richland - The funeral of Mrs. Betsey Ames was attended on Sunday at the Disciple church, Richland, by a large congregation. The Rev. L. Muzzy, of Pulaski, officiated. She moved to this town when two years old, and had resided one or two miles north of the station 80 years. She lived long enough to see the wilderness disappear, the old stage coach pass away, and the cars, the sewing machine and the reaper, come to stay. She was esteemed by all who knew her.
