- THOMAS BROWN OBITUARY
Thomas J. Brown February 26, 2023 Thomas J. Brown, age 88, resident of Pulaski, passed away Sunday at his daughter's home in Pennellville. Thomas was born August 1, 1934, in Syracuse, the son of Francis and Helen Donegan Brown. He attended Split Rock High School in Camillus. Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1953 until 1961. He was married to his wife of 44-years, Barbara Simms in 1957 and she passed away in 2002. Tom owned and operated Northern Machine Rebuilding in Pulaski for 25 years. He was a very active member of the Robert Edwards American Legion Post #358 in Pulaski where he held many offices including County Commander. Tom was master of ceremonies for the Memorial Day parades and Veterans services, and he also marched with the color guard and 40 & 8. He was a big Syracuse Crunch Hockey fan, holding season tickets for many years. Tom loved all things bears! His nickname was even Tombear. He enjoyed being outdoors, golfing at the Pines Golf Club and hiking in the woods. Surviving are his children, Karen (Leonard) Dunn of Texas, Kelly (Gary) Markert of Pennellville, Terry (Kathy) Brown of Pulaski, Theodore (Carol) Brown of Pulaski, four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by one son, Timothy who passed away in 1993. Funeral services will be held 5 p.m., Friday, March 3rd at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a spring burial in South Richland Cemetery in Fernwood.
