    • Newspaper Obituary - April 22, 1998 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - GILBERT F. BYRNS TOWN OF BOYLSTON RETIREE - Gilbert F. Byrns, 84, formerly of County Route 30, died Tuesday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where he had been a patient for two days. Mr. Byrns retired from the town of Boylston Highway Department. He had resided at Samaritan-Keep Home, Watertown, since Jan. 27, 1990. Born Feb. 28, 1914, in the town of Amboy, son of Francis and Minnie Barber Byrns, he attended local schools. Surviving are two nieces, Helen Philips, Pulaski, and Celestine Kerr, Sandy Creek, and two nephews, Robert, Hastings, and Kenneth, Morton, Pa. A sister, Alice Samson, died in 1995, and a brother, Lawrence, died in 1983. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, officiating. There will be no calling hours. The body will be cremated. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
