Gadway, 44, RD 1, Pulaski, died June 19 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. Born March 29, 1928 in Merrill, New York to the late Harry and Maude Peets Gadway, he attended school there and in Lyon Mountain. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. In 1947, he was married to Shirley Stevenson in Lyon Mountain. They lived in Merrill and Syracuse until 1955 when they moved to Pulaski. He was an instrument repairman for Solvay Process in Syracuse and Schoeller Technical Papers, Inc. in Pulaski, before becoming a caretaker for the State Department of Parks. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Susan) Parkhurst, Pulaski, Peggy, at home; one son, Dennis Gadway, Plattsburgh, New York; two granddaughters; his mother, Maude Gadway, Pulaski; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The funeral was Friday at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home, Pulaski, and at St. John the Evangelist, where a Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Thomas P. Whelan, pastor. Burial was in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood.
