- Agnes M. Tyfair, 59
Mrs. Agnes M. Tyfair, 59, of 8307 Sandra Ave., Clay, formerly of Sandy Creek, wife of Wesley Tyfair, died at 4:35 a.m. Sept. 8,1980 at her home after a long illness.
The funeral was 1 p.m. Sept. 11, 1980 at the Summerville Funeral Home with Rev. Adelbert Edwards, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
Calling hours were 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The V.F.W. auxiliary conducted services at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Born Sept. 11, 1920, in the Town of Orleans, a daughter of Mrs. Anna Daly Ridgeway and the late John Ridgeway, she attended Boylston schools and married Wesley Tyfair, Nov. 24, 1939, at Sandy Creek.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley; two sons, Robert, in Texas; and Craig, Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Al (Sharon) Johnston, Mannsville, Mrs. Marshall (Sheilah) Tousley, Adams, and Mrs. Dennis (Janiece) Dunbar, Clay; her mother, Mrs. Anna M. Ridgeway, Pulaski; three sisters, Mrs. Victor (Maggie) Polish, Sandy Pond, Miss Clara Ridgeway, Johnson City and Mrs. Melvin (Winnie) Barringtony Florida; three brothers, Paul Ridgeway; Pulaski Aaron, Denver, Colo., and Lawrence, Toledo, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; a great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
The couple moved to Clay from Sandy Qreek in 1973. She was employed at the McMillan Book Co., Syracuse.
She was a member and past president of Cable Trail Auxiliary 8534, Lacona, and was a former member of the Sandy Creek Grange and the O.E.S.
Contributions may be made in her name to the Cable Trail V.F.W. Post 8534 building fund.
