Obituary
Marvin H. Warren, age 85, resident of Richland since 1968, passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his family. Marvin was born May 22, 1937, in Endicott, the son of Harold and Madonna Eldred Warren. He attended Union of Endicott Schools and served in the Army National Guard from 1955 until 1957. Marvin was married to his wife of 47-years, Betty Burdick Warren on August 26, 1975. He was employed at Fulton Companies for 24 years before retiring in 1999. He had previously been employed as a Town of Clay Police Officer and sold Snap-On Tools.
Marvin was a 45-year member of the Pulaski Lions Club, volunteering countless hours and many Fridays cooking chicken in the South Park with his secret seasoning. He was a charter member of the Eagles Fan Club at the Oswego Speedway where he also served as a crew member on multiple race teams and as a push-truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Warren of Richland, daughters, Connie (Jeffrey) VanBrocklin of Lacona, Holly (Cullen) Miller of Sandy Creek, Robin (Bryan) Philips of Pulaski and Donna (Ron) Richards of Oswego, sons Harold Warren of Chittenango, Tracy (Jeannie) Warren of Adams and Robert Warren (Tammy) of Pulaski, and honorary daughter, Nikki Taylor of Phoenix. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and two special cats, Shadow and Tiger Lily. Marvin was predeceased by his brother John Warren and sister, Lucy Gardner.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 15th at Half-Shire Historical Society, 1100 CR 48, Richland. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., with a time for sharing memories to begin at 3 p.m. and a reception to immediately follow. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
