Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, July 2, 1966 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Raymond J. Murray, 74, of 7474 Furnace Street, died this morning at his home. Mr. Murray was born February 7, 1892 in Watertown, son of Patsy and Cora Moore Murray and had resided in Pulaski since he was two years of age. He was a veteran of World War I and served in the Corps Motor Transport Company, 721, United States Army. He was a member of the Fernwood Methodist church, and formerly operated a laundry. He was past commander of the Robert Edwards Post American Legion No. 358 and past commander of the 40 and 8. Mr. Murray was also a member of Salmon River Barracks, No. 140. Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Mildred Trumble Murray, are a son, Dr. R. Richard Murray, Ithaca; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Hussain, Pulaski; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Lowry, Alhambra, California. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Taylor funeral home with the Rev. Donald Swartwout, pastor of Pulaski Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
