- Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 26, 1965 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - C. Martin, 70, Taken by Death - Last rites for Clarence Martin, 70, of Centerville, who died early Saturday morning at his home, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Bird, pastor of the Sandy Creek Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. Full military honors were accorded. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Wood Martin; his mother, Mrs. Nettie Wood of Centerville, one son, William C. Martin of Lacona; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Gertrude) Hardy of Wallington; 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Martin was born June 23, 1895, at Mexico, the son of William and Nettie Tilkins Martin. He attended Mexico school and was married to Miss Margaret Wood on June 9, 1923, at Central Square. He was a veteran of World War I and retired from General Electric in Syracuse in 1960.
