      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, November 19, 2002 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Richland Man Dies as Car Goes off Road, Hits Pole - A man died Monday when his car slipped off a road in northern Oswego County, state police said. State police said Keith E. Prins, 39, Wilder Drive, Richland, was heading north on Peck Road, town of Richland, when his car slid off the road, down an embankment and into a utility pole. The accident occurred at 7:30 p.m. The roof of the car was crushed by the pole, and Mr. Prins was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police said there were no other vehicles involved in the accident and that the investigation continues. Mr. Prins did have his seat belt on at the time of the accident, police said.
      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 21, 2002 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Keith E. Prins, DOT Supervisor - The funeral for Keith E. Prins, 39, Wilder Drive, will be at 10 am. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Mr. Prins died Monday in a car accident on Peck Road in the town of Richland. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Prins was employed by the state Department of Transportation at Maple View for 16 years, serving as supervisor for the last several years. He previously was employed by the state Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation at Selkirk Shores State Park near Pulaski. A life resident of Richland, he was president and a member of Civil Service Employees Association Local 516 and a member of Richland Fire Department and Richland Church of Christ Born September 9, 1963, in Oswego, son of Leonard and Mary LaCelle Prins, he graduated from Pulaski High School in 1981. He married Melissa Woolson. A previous marriage ended in divorce. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Cameron K. and Casey E., both of Pulaski; a stepdaughter, Hannah Woolson, Orwell; a sister, Bonnie Wehrle, Waterville, and two brothers, Steven C., Valparaiso, Florida, and Kurt E., Sandy Creek. A sister, Sandra Prins Lyman, died in 2000.
