Services for Archa H. Moot, 71, of Lehigh Road died Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park St.
A native of Mexico, N.Y., Mr. Moot lived in Pulaski since 1937. He was employed until 1966 with Carrier Corp. and retired in 1972 as a boatsman on the Ohio River.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Moot was a life member and former commander of the Robert Edwards Post 358, American Legion, and a life member of Voyager Salon of the 40 and 8 Society in Oswego. He also was a member of Amvets and Dads of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alice M. Fox; four sons, John J. and Kimberly H., both of Pulaski, Barry of Altmar and Edwin M. of Hurst, Texas; three daughters, Nancy Sweatland of Williamstown, Patricia Reed of Parish and Caprice Hooge of Pulaski; a brother, Gerald of Mexico; five sisters, Lena Austin and Anona Hall, both of Pulaski, Grace Thompson of Fulton and Florence Coburn and Doris Popp, both of Ohio; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
