Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, November 13, 2004 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Shirley E. Hicks, Pulaski Day Care Employee - Shirley E. Tuttle Flicks, 77, Route 11, died Thursday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego. Mrs. Hicks worked at Pulaski Day Care for 10 years. She was also a Sunday school teacher and a member of Pulaski Wesleyan Church and Gideon International Auxiliary. She enjoyed music, camping and spending winters in Florida. Born August 5, 1927, in Eastwood, daughter of Robert and Alice Robinson Tuttle, she graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1945. She married Kenneth Hicks on February 1, 1946. They lived in Pulaski for 48 years. Surviving besides her husband are two sons and their wives, Randy and Kim, and Robert and Tracy, all of Georgia; three daughters and their husbands, Pamela and David Crawford, Richland, Brenda and Gilbert Worel, Bridgeport, and Shari and Irving Thurston, Pulaski; a sister, Sara Hembach, address unknown; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Tuttle, Lakeland, 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A brother, James Tuttle, died before her. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pulaski Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Rupert "Bud" Fancy officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
