      Newspaper Obituary - Monday Afternoon, September 17, 1928 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Polio Fatal To Two In Richland - Miss Ola Halsey, 15, And Mrs. John Jamerson, 41 - Both Pass Away On Sunday - Private Funeral Services Held For Victims - Burial Made Same Day Deaths Occurred - Pulaski, September 17 - Two deaths resulted from poliomyelitis in the town of Richland Sunday, the first being that of Miss Ola D. Halsey, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fleming Halsey of Fernwood, which occurred at 10:30 a.m. following a short illness. Besides her parents she is survived by several brothers and sisters. Last rites were held in the afternoon from the family home and were private, conducted by Rev. Charles Bollinger of this village, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Burial was in the Willis cemetery in the southern section of this town. An hour later the death if Mrs. John Jamerson, 41, occurred at the family home on the Atkinson road, three miles west of this village. She had been ill some time with the malady. Mrs. Jamerson was born May 16, 1887, in the town of Richland, where she had passed practically all her life. Her husband is a well known farmer. Funeral services were held at 9:30 this morning by Rev. Albert E. Lawrence of this village and were private. Burial was made in Willis cemetery.
