      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 4, 2010 Syracuse Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - Anita C. Whaley, age 81, of Twin Falls, Idaho, formerly of Richland, New York, passed away Saturday evening, February 27, 2010 at Desert Rose Assisted Living Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was the daughter of Tracy and Grace Tillcins Gerdon. She and her husband owned and operated a restaurant and ice cream business for many years in Richland, New York. She is survived by two sons, William (wife Melissa) and John; son-in-law, David Pugh; three grandsons, Scott, Kyle, and Derek; one great-granddaughter, Sloane; five brothers, Wenton, Charles, Lester, Grover and James; two sisters, Shirley Barnard and Isabel Bidleman, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Whaley; her daughter, Carolyn Pugh; sister, Juanita Nicholson; brothers, Quentin and Warren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a spring burial in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral. A visitation was previously held in Twin Falls, Idaho for family and friends.
