- Frederick Pottenburgh died at his home, 20 West Chestnut street, this village, Friday morning, after an illness of about two months. He was 75 years old and a native of Rhinebeck. Born Sept. 10, 1870, he was a son of the late William and Anna Fitzgerald Pottenburgh of Rhinebeck. He had lived here during his entire lifetime and had been employed as a mason's helper and laborer, at times by the village of Rhinebeck. He had been a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Surviving are a son, Frederick, Jr. of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Charles of Albany and Thomas of East Haven, Conn.; several grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Johanna Green Pottenburgh, died Nov. 19, 1943. Funeral services were conducted at his home Monday morning at 9:30 and at the Church of the Good Shepherd at ten o'clock. Burial took place in St. Joseph's cemetery, Rhinecliff.
