    • Newspaper Obituary - July 19, 2005 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - BYRNS - Helen M. Byrns - July 15, 2005 - Helen M. Byrns, 81, of Hastings, died Friday. She was a member of the Hastings Fire Department Auxiliary, and was a past vice president. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence J. Byrns, and two sons, Kenneth and James F. Byrns. Survivors: a son, Robert J. (Carolyn) Byrns, Hastings; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main Street, Parish. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square. Contributions may be made to the Hastings Fire Dept. Auxiliary, PO Box 241, Hastings, NY 13076.
