      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, May 7, 1990 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Ward F. Burns, 77, Ex-Nimo Foreman, Dies - Ward F. Burns, 77, of 6694 County Route 15, died Saturday at home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St., Pulaski. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Upstate Children's Home, Oneonta. He is survived by his wife, Blanche S.; a stepdaughter, Darlene Adydan, Pulaski; a stepson, Donald Mitchell, Watertown; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. Born in the Town of Richland July 9, 1912, son of Mattison and Addie North Bums, he attended Pulaski schools and married Blanche Mitchell September 24, 1929, in the Congregational Church, Pulaski. Mr. Burns served in the Army during World War II, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for bravery. He had lived in the Sandy Pond area for several years and was employed by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. as a line foreman for 35 years, retiring in 1984. He was also a retired Pulaski fireman. He was a member of the Pulaski Baptist Church, the Lacona Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Niagara Mohawk 25-Year Club.
