Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 27, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Oscar E. Whaley Richland Native - Oscar E. Whaley, 70, of 1705 Lemoyne Avenue, Syracuse, a native of Richland, died Tuesday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse. Mr. Whaley moved in 1950 to Syracuse, where he worked at Canada Dry for many years and later at Burger King for several years. Born June 6, 1929, in Richland, son of Harry and Edith Doane Whaley, he attended Richland and Pulaski schools and served in the Army during the Korean War. Surviving are a sister, Anna M Whaley, Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews in the Pulaski- Richland area. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
