    • Bertha M. Johnson, 87, Syracuse Road, died Tuesday in Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

      The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Taylor-Vida Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Boylston.

      Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Park United Methodist Church or Northern Oswego County Ambulance.

      She is survived by a son, Charles, Pulaski; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter C. Jennings, Albuquerque, N.M., and several nieces and nephews.

      A son, Donald, died in 1983.

      Born April 1, 1907, in Pulaski, she was the daughter of Jotham and Anna Crandall Jennings. She graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School.

      She married Axel R. Johnson on Jan. 19, 1924, in Lacona. Mr. Johnson died in 1984.

      Mrs. Johnson retired in 1969 as a cafeteria worker with Pulaski Academy and Central School and was previously employed with a Pulaski paper company.

      She was a member of Park United Methodist Church.
