      Carol Cook May 5, 2022 Carol Cook, of Parish NY, passed away on the evening of May 5, 2022, after battling for many years with dementia. Born September 3, 1934, she was the daughter of Harold and Minnie Harmer and the beloved spouse of Darwyn Cook whom she married August 27, 1965. Carol graduated from Bellville High School and worked as a waitress and a secretary during her 30-year career. Darwyn and Carol also ran two successful businesses together, with her acting as the accountant. Carol was a long-time giver to charity. She worked for two decades with the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, working with others to make quilts for the needy and homeless. Carol was a loving mother to five boys, to whom she passed on her love of music, and any other soul in need. Carol was predeceased by her parents Harold and Minnie and her sons Richard (Lynn) and Leonard (Brenda) Palmer. She is survived by her husband Darwyn Cook, her sons Edmund Palmer (Lorena), John Palmer (Jean), Darwyn Cook (Joann), eleven grandchildren, and a whole passel of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to specially thank her granddaughter Cheryl and her husband Ray for the amazing care that they helped provide in her final days. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Parish, NY. Interment will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to RSVP of Oswego.
