    • Newspaper Obituary - March 18, 1995 Syracuse Herald Journal - DONALD V. BALCOM - Donald V. Balcom, 75, of 4340 Rohy Road, town of Onondaga, died Thursday at home. A native of Pulaski, Mr. Balcom lived in the town of Onondaga since the mid-1940s. He retired as a pattern maker for Carrier Corp. in 1982 after 36 years. He was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers Union. Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Collins; a son, David of Cayuga; a brother, Lyle "Speedy" of Pulaski; a sister, Shirley Hort of Pulaski; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. May 6 at his home. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Howlett Hill Fire Department or the Onondaga Senior Center. Arrangements are by Butler-Badman Funeral Home, 4504 W. Seneca Turnpike.
