    • Charlotte M Ferguson Mellen - May 4, 1831 - May 30, 1905. Daughter of Jonathan and Mary Abby Ann Steen Ferguson. Wife of Hezekiah Henry Mellen.

      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 1, 1905 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Lacona - News has been received by friends in this section of the death of Mrs. H. H. Mellen, of Minneapolis, formerly a resident of Richland and Sandy Creek. She died at the home of her brother in Clermont, Iowa. The remains will be brought to Richland for burial. Funeral at Church of Christ Saturday, June 3, at 3 p.m., the Rev. A. B. Chamberlain of Auburn officiating. Mrs. Mellen and her husband left this section fifteen or twenty years ago for the West. Her maiden name was Charlotte Ferguson and her parents were residents of the town of Richland. Mrs. Mellen is the mother of F. H. Mellen and one daughter Lizzie, who married William Ripson and lives in Minneapolis.
