Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 19, 1945 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Frederick Caufield Dies in Pulaski ¬Frederick Caufield, 79, died Monday morning at his home in the Rome road, following an illness of about one month. He was born in Rensselaer Falls, March 1, 1866, the son of Peter and Ellen Driscoll Caufield, who had come from Ireland. He had been a fanner all of his life, most of which was spent in Pulaski and vicinity. His wife died just six years ago today. He was a communicant of St. John's Catholic church. Surviving are two sons, Vernon of Pulaski and Carroll Caufield of Sandy Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Stinger of Mattydale and Mrs. Mildred Green of Phoenix; one brother, Eugene Caufield of Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Creighton of Rensselaer, and Mrs. Birdie Goodson of Watertown; 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held at 9 a.m. today at the Taylor room and at 9:30 in St. John's church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
