Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 19, 1973 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - J. F. Caufield Dies - James F. Caufield, Wood Avenue, Syracuse, formerly of Lacona, died at home Thursday. The funeral was held Sunday in Sandy Creek, Rev. Ivan Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn and son, Mark, Syracuse; his mother, Mrs. Beulah Caufield, Lacona; two brothers, Arnold and Fred, Sandy Creek; eight sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Margaret) Wilder, Pulaski, Mrs. Ernest (Marian) Dana, Sandy Creek, Mrs. Terisa Surprise, Syracuse, Mrs. Benjamin (Anne) Eggleston, Caughdenoy Mrs. Gilbert (Catherine) Ridgeway, Miss Verna Kay Caufield and Mrs. Cornelius (Judith) Donahue, all of Lacona. Mrs. Richard (Donna) Ford, Red Creek; an uncle, nieces and nephews. Born at Lacona, a son of Carroll and Beulah Caufield, he was educated in Sandy Creek schools and had been a salesman for the Ailing and Corey Paper Company 20 years.
