- Lawrence H. Bouchard, 89, born on July 19, 1923 in Vermont, died in Oswego, NY on Sunday, August 12, 2012. He had been a resident of Morningstar Nursing Home for the past three years. He was previously employed as a Machinist at New Process Gear in Syracuse, retiring in 1985. He also served in the US Army during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award. He and his wife, the former Dorothy Brown enjoyed camping and traveling. They retired to Florida for several after his retirement, returning to the Oswego County area in 2003.Dorothy died on April 3, 2006. Surviving are 12 children: six daughters; Gloria Higby, Pulaski, Carolyn Bettinger, Lacona, Paula Clemens, Camden, Marilyn Bouchard, Pennelleville, Sharon King, Hastings and Kim Bouchard, Parish, six sons, Howard and Thomas, Pulaski, Ronnie, Syracuse, Richard, Fulton, Douglas, Brewerton and Brian, Central Square. Mr. Bouchard was one of 13 children when he grew up in Vermont, sisters Delma and Ernestine and brothers, Clifford, Clayton and Norman still live in Vermont while brothers Raymond and Frances live in Pulaski, NY. Mr. Bouchard is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Eileen on August 12, 2003 and a sister, Madelaine along with four brothers, Abe, Isadore, Arnold and Roger. Private graveside services were held in West Monroe Cemetery under the direction of the Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main Street, Central Square, NY. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Assoc.,
