      Kenneth P. Champney, 81, of 96 North St., died Monday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, after a brief illness.

      Mr. Champney was a life resident of Pulaski and had a summer home in WauWinet Island in Alexandria Bay. He owned and operated Champney Liquid Fertilizer Plant. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School.

      Mr. Champney was a member of Fulton Lodge 1280, Loyal Order of Moose, and a 40-year member of Ringgold Fire Department. He also was a member of Pulaski Lodge 415, F&AM, Media Shrine Temple, the Royal Order of Jesters and the Oswego County Shrine Club.

      Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Diane Lying of Pulaski and Dorothy Champney of Cicero; a son, Richard of Pulaski; and five grandchildren.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Pulaski Congregational Church, the Rev. Jim Tschudy officiating.

      There will be no calling hours.

      Contributions may be made to Pulaski Lodge 415, F&AM.

      Sumerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, has charge of arrangements.
