      Warren C. Cronk, 73, a life resident of Altmar, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse.

      Mr. Cronk worked for General Electric in Syracuse for 20 years and also was a logger and a self-employed plumber.

      Born Feb. 3, 1935, in Orwell, son of Kenneth and Dorothy Colvin Cronk, he went to school in Altmar.

      He married Jeanette Ashmall on Dec. 22, 1957.

      He was a member of the Altmar Fire Department.

      Surviving besides his wife are six sons, Charles Ashmall and Warren Jr., both of Carthage, Norman F. and Chris, both of Altmar, Jerry, Harmony, N.C., and Allan, Cato; three daughters, Peggy Cronk, Gouverneur, Penny Proper, Altmar, and Janet Hutton, Fulton; four brothers, James and Terry, both of Mallory, and Steve and Burt, both of Altmar; two sisters, Mary Gaffey, Altmar, and Evelyn Hoyt, Mallory, 34 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

      The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christ Our Light Parish in Pulaski.

      Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

      Calling hours will be 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
