Moore Succumbs to Heart Attack - A gloom spread over Richland and was felt in Pulaski last evening, when word came that Fred M. Moore had passed away. Mr. and Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Edward T. Wilson had motored to Syracuse yesterday, and on their return home they reached Pulaski about six o'clock. Mr. Moore had not been feeling well the last part of the journey and Dr. Dunbar took the party in his car and drove them to Richland. Mr. Moore grew worse all the way and just reached home before he passed. He has been suffering with heart trouble for some time and this was the cause which developed fatal so quickly. Fred M. Moore was born in Worth, Jefferson County, March 22, 1865. He came to Richland when a young man. He was a traveling salesman for several years. In 1910 he was elected treasurer of Oswego County. Though a Democrat he won the election in this strong Republican County. At the close of three years in the treasurer's office, he came back to Richland where he engaged in mercantile business which he had followed since. He took Edward Wilson for a partner a year or more ago. Mr. Moore was identified with the Richland Basket factory, he was active in the Methodist Church and largely connected with fraternities, being a member of Pulaski Lodge, F. & A.M.; Pulaski Chapter, R.A.M.; Lake Ontario Commandery K.T., Media Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S., and the order of Scottish Rites. He was also a member of Spring Brook Lodge, L O. O. F. and Salmon River Encampment, of Pulaski, being a past grand officer in both the latter organizations. He was on the Oswego County Child Welfare Board. He is survived by his wife, one son, Carl C. Moore, of New York, and two sisters, Mrs. Lillah Washburn, of Richland, and Mrs. Jane Tinkey, of New York, also a brother, Adelbert Moore, of Waterloo. Mr. Moore's death is a great loss to Richland and this village where he was identified with the People's National Bank, as one of the directors. No announcement as to day or hour of funeral was available.
