Darwin L. Cronk, 50, Eisenhower Boulevard, Bridgeport, a native of Altmar, died of lung cancer Wednesday at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
Born Sept. 14 1948, in Altmar, a son of Kenneth N. and Dorothy P. Colvin Cronk, he attended Altmar- Parish-Williamstown schools. A marriage ended in divorce.
Mr. Cronk worked at Montclair Trucking, Parish, and formerly at Omega Wire Co., Williamstown.
He was a member of Altmar Riverside United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his fiancee, Kathy Eighmey, Bridgeport; a son, Mark, Altmar; a foster daughter, Cassandra Cronk, Bridgeport; six brothers, Bert L., Warren C., Stephen M. and Kenneth E., all of Altmar, and James O. and Terry L., both of Mallory; two sisters, Evelyn Hoyt, Mallory, and Mary Jane Gaffey, Altmar; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles in the Pulaski area.
Two brothers, Raymond L. and Frank A., died before him. Another brother, John Thomas, died at age 11.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski, with the Rev. Catherine Salisbury, pastor of Riverside United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
