The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the family of Frank Spicer , Lambs Corners in the tragic ending of his life Saturday of last week. He had been ill for many months after suffering a stroke. For some time past there had been indications of mental trouble as he had been talking strangely. Mr Spicer ended his life with a shot gun, his wife and grandaughter found him lying on the ground with the shotgun beside him. He was taken to the hospital and lingered some time ( this has been edited for content). Investigation revealed that it was death by shotgun while mentally deranged. The deceased was the son of Daniel L and Nellie More Spicer and was born in the Town of Amboy. He was a very prosperous farmer. Surviving, besides his widow Nellie L. Spicer, he leaves four sons, George of Memphis, N.Y Fred E. and Warren J., of Syracuse; Claire D., of Lambs Corners, one brother Fred Spicer, of Fernwood. Interment at Mexico Village Cemetery.
