Paul F. Crosby, 69, of Richland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 4, 2016 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. He was born December 30, 1946 in Cortland, NY, son of the late Harry and Marguerite Sherwood Crosby. He was a resident of Richland for the past 44 years. He was a retired machinist from Carrier Corp. and enjoyed his summers at Brennan’s Beach and being part of the security team. He was a past Fire Commissioner for the Richland Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Charlene of 45 years, his daughters, Tammy Crosby of Baldwinsville, Karen (Michael) Gill of Richland, 5 grandchildren: Joshua Crosby, Abigail Barnes, Zachary Barnes, Remie Gill, Reagan Gill; 2 sisters, Dorothy Abbott and Beatrice (Dale) Coville both of Cortland; his mother-in-law, Alice Brodeur of Pulaski and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Paul Neil Crosby and 10 brothers and sisters.
Calling hours were held April 8th at Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Richland Fire Department.
