Carl G. Whipple, 78, of Springbrook Apartments, died Saturday in Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse.
Private services will be conducted by the Rev. Melvyn Connell, pastor of the Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
Surviving are his wife, Dicia; four daughters, Carol White, Adams Center, Diane Sperling, Sandy Creek, Christal Goodsell, Pulaski, and Denise Cofer, Germantown, Md.; a son, David,
Lacona, and 10 grandchildren.
Five brothers and a sister died before him.
Born on July 3, 1916, in Rochester, a son of William and Pearl Parker Whipple, he attended Whitesboro schools and married Dicia Briggs on Aug. 30, 1946, in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Whipple lived in Sandy Creek for several years and in Pulaski for the past three years. He was a retired self-employed carpenter.
