- Dana H. Paye, 81, died at his home in North Syracuse on Saturday. He was born in Utica, NY, son of Dana and Ella Paye on February 12, 1932. He spent his childhood in the Utica area and moved to Sandy Creek in the 1950's. He married Kathleen J. Quinn who died in 1974. He married the late Madge Yelle Paye in 1976 and they resided in Pulaski for many years.
Dana was a member of Carpenter's Local 747 and later Local 277. He was a lifetime member of the Sandy Creek Fire Dept., he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lacona Fire Dept.
He is survived by his three children, Mark J. Paye, Pulaski, Kelly (James) DeVaul and Kathleen Richards, both of North Syracuse. He cherished his grandchildren: Sarah Paye, Luke (Megan) Paye, of Central Square, Michael Paye, Pulaski, Laura Paye, Cary, NC, Kathryn Paye, Pulaski, Nicole (Jeremy) Ginsburg, Syracuse, Emily DeVaul, Kevin Richards, Ashley Richards, all of North Syracuse, along with seven great-grandchildren whom he adored.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
