Newspaper Obituary - Monday, May 6, 1985 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Services for M. Ardena Soderlund, 90, of 7471 Box Street, Pulaski, who died Saturday night, April 27, 1985 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, the Rev. Virgil Hager officiating. Burial was in South Richland Cemetery. She was born August 15, 1894 to George and Emma Knapp Holley. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School and Pulaski Teachers Training Class. She married George N. Soderlund on April 18, 1923. Mr. Soderlund, who died in 1891, was the first chief of police in Pulaski. Mrs. Soderlund was a member of Robert Edwards Post 358 American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289 Auxiliary, and Salmon River Barracks 149 of the Veterans of World War I. Surviving are a son, George G. of Pulaski; a daughter, Junia Buck of Cleveland; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. One daughter, Astrid Archer, died February 14, 1985.
