The funeral for Ella M. Blount, 74, Woodpecker Lane, wife of Derrill E. Blount, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mannsville Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Douglas Shear officiating. Burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Blount died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home, where she was under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
Mrs. Blount and her husband operated dairy farms in the Ellisburg area for many years.
She was an ordained minister in the Apostolic Church of God since 1959 and was pastor of Mannsville Full Gospel Church for several years. She also taught Spanish, art and music at Apostolic Christian Academy for five years.
Her hobbies included gardening, needle crafts, painting, music and her love of animals.
Born Sept. 10, 1924, in the Adams home of her uncle, John H. Mullin, a daughter of Victor E. and Clara L. Fitzgerald Mullin, she attended school in Ellisburg and Mannsville Central School.
She married Mr. Blount on Oct. 15, 1943, at her parents' home on Torrey Hill Road.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Derrill E. Jr., Nobleton, Fla., Steven, Mannsville, and Andy, Tampa, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Theresa) Shear, Massena, and Mrs. Mike (Patricia) O'Connor and Mrs. Stephen (Donna) Boulter, both of Bartow, Fla., and Mrs. Richard (Linda) Tanner, Ludowici, Ga.; three sisters, Laurentine Rogers, Beaverton, Ore., Mary Gingerich, Marilla, and Clara McGhee, Summerfield, Fla.; four brothers, Victor Mullin, Summerfield, Ivan Mullin, Wellsville, Allen Mullin, Sandy Creek, and David Mullin, Mannsville; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
