    • Born in Camden and raised in Redfield, Larry enlisted in the US Navy at age 18 in December 1956. He served 26 years. During this time Larry did three tours of duty in Vietnam. He served on "everything from a water barge to an air craft carrier" in his time. He just missed the Six-day War as he was on Malta, in the Mediterranean Sea at the time. He spent two years in Saudi Arabia, on the Red Sea as part of the United States Naval Advisory group helping to build the Royal Saudi Navy . He was also on the first ship to ever test fire a cruise missile.
      Larry and Jean have a farm just outside of Cato, New York. He currently works as a maintenance Engineer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Jean is now (2005) retired. Larry and Jean spend their recreation time at the family cottage at Black Lake.
