David J. Lawton, 45, died Saturday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Cause of death is pending an autopsy.
Mr. Lawton had been employed by Fuccillo Auto Mall, Adams, since 1996. He had previously worked at D Chevrolet, Watertown, and had also worked at Fort Drum in power utility maintenance.
Born Oct. 26, 1955, in Watertown, son of Robert and Charlotte Kline Lawton, he graduated from Pulaski Central School in 1973. He served in the Air Force from 1973 to 1976.
He married Gloria Sargent on Dec. 24, 1988. He had lived at Barnes Corners since 1988 and had previously lived in Lacona, Pulaski and Richland.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmobiler.
Surviving besides his wife and parents are a daughter, Kristy Ann Tuttle, Texas; a stepdaughter, Tammy Jordal, Pulaski; a stepson, Tracey Sargent, Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany; a brother, Peter, Richland; two sisters, Linda Gilbert, Pulaski, and Lori McGuire, Antioch, Tenn., and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s the Evangelist Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. John F. Hogan officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
