- Rites Held For Mrs. Mary Rickard
Mrs. Mary Maltby Rickard, 86, widow of Frank B. Rickard, died Thursday morning in a Utica hospital where she had been a patient only a week. She had been in failing health for some time but had been confined to her bed only a few weeks before her death.
Surviving are two sons, Edwin Rickard of Whitestone, L.I., and Roy Rickard of Watertown; three daughters, Mrs. Dugal (Sarah) Campbell of Great Neck, L.I., Mrs. Edward (Isabelle) Parker, Pulaski and Mrs. Leonard (Edna) Wheeler of Ithaca;
and 12 grandchildren.
Mrs. Rickard was born at Maltby Corners, two miles north of Pulaski, Nov. 4, 1864, a daughter of Rollin and Isabelle Campbell Maltby. Most of her life had been spent in Pulaski.
She was an active member of the Baptist churches and its societies as long as her health permitted, and was at one time a member of the Civic club. Mr. Rickard died in May 1943.
Funeral services were held from the Taylor funeral home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. F.L. Anderson, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating.
Interment will be made in Dugway cemetery.
