Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 23, 1966 Herald-Journal - Syracuse, New York - Vernon Ferguson Dies At 91 Years ¬Vernon N. Ferguson, 91, of 105 Norman Avenue, died yesterday after a long illness. A native of Battle Island, he was a retired employee of the New York Central Railroad Company. He was employed as a bridge carpenter. He was later employed at Syracuse General Hospital. Mr. Ferguson resided here 18 years, moving here from Wolcott. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons, Myron J. and Lewis V. of Syracuse, Charles R. of Rochester, and Kenneth E. Ferguson of Sodius; two daughters, Mrs. Vernon Robinson of Syracuse, and Mrs. John Hamilton of Xenia, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Greenleaf Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Warren G. Odom, officiating. Burial will be in Willis Memorial Cemetery, South Richland. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
