Lester V. McConnell, 42, Fulton, died Wednesday at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. He had been ill with cancer.
Mr. McConnell was employed by Wal-Mart at Cicero.
Born July 23, 1964, in Syracuse, he was a son of Melzer and Emma House McConnell. He served in the Air Force from 1983 to 1991.
Mr. McConnell was active in 4-H and was a member of the Mexico Volunteer Fire Department and the McFee Ambulance Corps.
Surviving besides his parents, of Mexico, are his wife of seven years, the former Sue Bresett; two sons, Christopher and Donald, both of Mexico; a daughter, Emily McConnell, Mexico; a brother, Gary, Mexico, and a sister, Cynthia Wade, Scriba.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Edwards.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
